- Purpose
- The goal of CSA is to enable students interested in a variety of fields to connect and engage on solving a singular goal – how to bring aspects of gardening and farming into the 21st century, through the engagement of computer science, engineering, and data sciences majors. CSA will work alongside Roger’s Community Garden (formerly North County Community Garden) to host student projects relating to agriculture, food waste, bioenergy, and sustainability-oriented projects. Members of the organization can hope to gain skills in hardware and software design, soldering, data science, biology, chemistry, etc. Members are not required to have any background knowledge, as CSA and its partners are more than happy to help get interested members up to speed.
