Academic Department Affiliated Category

Academic Year
2018
Purpose
Founded in 2015, Chemistry Peer Advisory League (ChemPAL) serves to provide mentoring to undergraduate students at UC San Diego studying Chemistry and opportunities to serve as mentors for graduate students in the Chemistry & Biochemistry Department. ChemPAL focuses on supporting first-generation undergraduate students and other minority students, though is not exclusive to those groups. Small mentoring teams comprised of graduate student mentors and undergraduate mentees meet throughout the academic year to support the undergraduate mentees. Additionally, organization-wide workshops and networking events will be offered to foster community and promote a more collective excitement for chemistry.
