UCSD Student Organizations (2022 - 2023)
Break the Trend
Service & Changemaking (A-G) Category
- Academic Year
- 2022
- Purpose
- Our purpose is to encourage a sustainable fashion movement on campus. Our main avenue of doing this will be hosting clothing and accessory donation drives. The donated items will be resold at monthly popups, and 100% of the profits earned will be donated to various organizations that are working to end child labor or support environmental causes. Any items that fail to sell will be donated to organizations that repurpose textiles to upcycle and reuse the materials. We will also host general meetings that focus on educating our community on the effects of fast fashion trends.
