- Purpose
- The mission of the Student Cancer and Chronic Diseases Support Group non-profit organization is to promote a safe space on campus for everyone who has ever been affected by cancer or chronic disease in any way; this includes but is not limited to cancer survivors, those actively battling cancer/chronic disease, and their loved ones. Our members know firsthand that talking about cancer outside of an academic environment is mostly tabooed and we would like to provide support to you by showing that you are not alone and that there are more people than you think who have had a similar experience. Moreover, our club offers academic study support in a friendly, understanding environment to help each other get through one of the hardest periods of life a person can ever experience.
