Purpose
School on Wheels at UC San Diego is dedicated to providing free tutoring and academic support to K–12 students experiencing homelessness across Southern California, including children and families living in shelters, motels, vehicles, on the streets, as well as unaccompanied youth in residential treatment centers (RTCs). The goal of this organization is to connect UC San Diego undergraduate students with volunteer opportunities that support educational equity and community engagement. By bringing together students from diverse academic and personal backgrounds, we aim to foster a collaborative community that expands access to education for underserved populations.
