Purpose
We are a student-led organization focused on the human side of healthcare. EIM helps students think about how patients experience medicine, especially when they feel rushed, dismissed, confused, afraid, or unheard. Our goal is not just to talk about being “kind”, it is to help students understand that communication is part of good healthcare. A doctor’s words, tone, listening habits, and assumptions can affect whether a patient trusts them, asks questions, follows instructions, or feels comfortable speaking honestly.
