Purpose
The Transfer Outreach Society (TOS) is dedicated to fostering a consistent, inclusive, and socially driven environment specifically for the transfer student population at UC San Diego. Our primary objective is to combat the "transfer gap" in social engagement by providing predictable, weekly opportunities for peer-to-peer connection. While UCSD offers valuable departmental resources and specialized transfer organizations (e.g., pre-medical or major-specific societies), a gap exists for a broad, social-first community. Unlike existing clubs that focus on professional development or sporadic large-scale events, TOS focuses exclusively on social consistency. We provide a recurring space for transfers to build lasting friendships through weekly socials, collaborative mixers, and community-building events, ensuring that no transfer student feels disconnected from the Triton experience.
