- Purpose
- The purpose of the East African Student Association (EASA) is to foster an inclusive and supportive community that celebrates the cultures, histories, and identities of East African students and their allies, while bringing awareness to the social, economic, and humanitarian challenges affecting countries in East Africa. EASA seeks to educate the campus community on issues impacting the region, including conflict, displacement, poverty, and access to education. EASA is committed to promoting cultural understanding, advocacy, and responsible dialogue through educational programming, cultural events, and community outreach. By amplifying East African voices and perspectives, EASA aims to encourage engagement, empathy, and action, while empowering members to develop leadership skills and a deeper sense of responsibility toward their communities.
