Purpose
The purpose(s) of this organization shall be to empower the local community, especially underserved communities, by promoting dental health awareness and addressing oral healthcare disparities. We plan to equip undergraduate pre-dental students with the tools and knowledge necessary to make a meaningful impact. Through interactive workshops, volunteerism, and guest speakers, we seek to provide comprehensive education on oral health. Our initiatives include oral hygiene workshops, outreach in senior centers, schools and libraries, hygiene kit creation, community health fairs, and developing a health hub with educational materials on topics like the link between oral health and diseases, dietary impacts on oral health, and preventive practices. We also plan on organizing trips to local schools to teach proper dental care. Through these efforts, we strive to foster a commitment to preventive care, education, and community service while promoting oral health equity for all while preparing members for successful careers in dental medicine.
