Purpose
Social Media Production Lab (SMPL) is a student-run club focused on learning and creating high-impact social media content. SMPL brings students together to develop practical content creation skills, including crafting strong hooks, optimizing posting timing, and understanding what captures attention online. The club operates through short, hands-on lessons during the week and frequent social events that double as content opportunities. By using real campus experiences as creative material and scaling events over time, SMPL aims to increase student engagement and help challenge the perception of UCSD as socially disconnected.
