Purpose
ShaDjam is a student-led organization at UCSD dedicated to celebrating and promoting Indian Classical music. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where students can learn, perform, and collaborate across vocal, instrumental, and percussive traditions. Whether you are an experienced performer or a curious beginner, we invite you to explore this timeless art as both a musical practice and a cultural expression. Through workshops, concerts, and lecture-demonstrations, ShaDjam fosters community, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the discipline, diversity, and emotional richness of Indian Classical music.
