- Floating Doctors at UCSD is a student-run organization dedicated to improving healthcare access for underserved communities in Panama, while providing students with meaningful global health, clinical, and leadership experiences. Our mission is to support the work of the international nonprofit Floating Doctors by fundraising, raising awareness, and sending UCSD student volunteers on medical service trips. Through this club, members will gain opportunities to: -Contribute to sustainable healthcare initiatives in resource-limited settings. -Participate in fundraising and community outreach efforts to support patient care abroad. -Learn about cultural humility, global health equity, and ethical volunteerism. Develop leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills through planning, service, and collaboration with other chapters. Ultimately, our purpose is to empower UCSD students to engage in hands-on service, expand their global health education, and make a tangible impact on vulnerable populations, while fostering a strong sense of community, compassion, and responsibility among future healthcare leaders.
