Alcohol Harm Reduction at UC San Diego
Educational Category
- Academic Year
- 2024
- Purpose
- Shaping an organization catered to students interested in Public Health/Public Policy, or the Health Field in general, who want to work in preventative medicine. Our mission is to provide education on the effects of binge drinking, to promote healthy alternative activities, and to provide a safe space for those who seek help with alcohol use. Creating a student-led organization would increase participation and create a brave space for those who struggle with binge drinking and want more information/knowledge on the topic of sober curiosity. The Alcohol Harm Reduction Organization will help students gain experience in prevention and promote healthy lifestyles.
