- The Women in Science Society at UC San Diego is committed to increasing diversity and inclusion in academia by promoting the academic and professional success of gender marginalized students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). We aim to increase representation and support for people of marginalized genders in STEM by educating them on their career and extracurricular options and motivating them to complete their undergraduate coursework and enter the STEM workforce. Although our official name is the Women in Science Society at UC San Diego, we are a gender-inclusive organization.
