- Women and Minorities in Science is a collection of colleagues at Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) at UCSD dedicated to promoting diversity and equity within our community. The mission of WMIS is to create space, hold events and facilitate conversations that work towards dismantling institutionalized racism and other forms of discrimination in academia and beyond, as well as creating a sense of community at SIO.
