- Purpose
- Free to Breathe is a student run organization that desires to facilitate a nicotine replacement exchange and educational program in the greater San Diego community. Understanding the detrimental impact that nicotine has on a person’s health, Free to Breathe attempts to encourage community members to trade in their cigarettes for nicotine replacement products in hopes of helping them quit smoking. Students will partake in clinics run in the community to facilitate this exchange, learn motivational interviewing skills and techniques to set goals for community members, as well as prepare and distribute informational resources on the impact of nicotine on our health and the importance of smoking cessation.
