Purpose
Sexual Wellness Initiative at UC San Diego is a service-oriented club that is dedicated towards addressing the critical issue of sexual health among the homeless population in downtown San Diego. Our mission is to reduce the prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and promote comprehensive sexual wellness among homeless individuals. Specifically, our focus is on assisting vulnerable populations, such as women of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community, since they face the highest risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases. We plan to achieve this through the distribution of contraceptives and by providing essential education on sexual health resources and local clinics.
