- The purpose of this organization is to engage and educate members with the resources and community to learn more about Genetic Counseling. Today, Genetic Counseling is one of the fastest growing fields in healthcare and offers a unique combination of medical, psychological, and familial skills. Through outreach programming, instruction, and experience, members can gain valuable knowledge in genetics, medicine, psychology, and advocacy that will provide exposure to the field. The structured environment also facilitates networking between students and professionals. Any student interested in this growing and diverse field is welcome as we increase awareness about Genetic Counseling.
