- Purpose
- Established in commemoration of Thurgood Marshall College's 50th anniversary, the Health Disparities Initiative (HDI) at UC San Diego empowers students, staff, faculty, alumni and community partners to enact tangible change in their communities through various public health interventions and coalitions. HDI seeks to address and attend to health disparities within the San Diego area and beyond through meaningful collaborations, acts of service, and the publication and distribution of educational resources and interventions of students' own design, ultimately working toward long-lasting change in our communities.
